An uncommon combination, but they do live happily together!
An empty station yet and although no prime time I am sure I won't be the only one on this train.
So I made a statement on Twitter Today that I was evaluating MindManager 8 and one of my followers asked me what I liked about it. Well, that is not easily said in the 140 character space a Twitter Tweet allows and hence I thought let's blog about it. But evaluating MindManager and not using it is not right, so not a straight forward text here, but a mind map to show you what I like about it.
EDIT: I noticed to be bumping agains Posterous capabilities as the animated pdf file does not show well. You can download the pdf file here and if you prefer to play with the flash version of the player, go ahead, it's here
EDIT2: Wanna play with the MindManager file itself, download here
We just read on nu.nl that parts of our country are covered by snow. Well, here at Ameland we are so far only experiencing fierce, stormy, winds. Good for a great beach walk, good relaxation. Now warming up at the fire in Sunset, our favorite beach club, enjoying hot chocolat.
Wow, it looks like another beautiful day is waking up ....
A couple of times a week I am traveling from where I live, close to Amsterdam, to Eindhoven, and already doing so for 7 years. That is a commute about 120km and when I started with that it would take me 1 hour 10 minutes in the car. In morning traffic I would calculate 1 hour and 30 minutes and I was always on time. Nowadays our roads are clogged and 1,5 hour is regular often going up to 2 hours or more, the record is already 3 hours travel time. No fun anymore! Last Friday I decided to drive down to Eindhoven, after all it was the middle of the day, 11:00 in the morning, so no traffic I assumed. Well, after 1,5 hours and not even being half way I decided to turn around and reschedule the internal meeting in Eindhoven.
Traveling by train it will take me 2 hours, door to door, but almost always two predictable hours of which I can work about 1 hour and 15 minutes using my 3G connection. Of course I have experienced some delays while traveling by train too, but never reached the 3 hours so far. And I must admit that as an avid car driver (at least upto earlier this year) I am still surprised every time how relaxed I am after traveling by train instead of car.
The morning news headline of today brings the message of another bank who gets a financial injection of the Dutch state. 10b euro for ING bank, who's next?
